STAPWUP-2020

National Seminar on Technological Advancements in Plastics Waste Utilisation and Processes      (STAPWUP-2020)

The seminar intends to bring together Scientists and Technologists involved in the field for sharing interacting, and arriving at practical and easy solutions and making recommendations to Waste  Plastics Management.

This also Focusses  on protection of our fragile environment- Eradicating the menace of Plastic Waste- Plastics, an important invention of human beings,  has become essential to our life and encompasses wide spectrum of our day to day living. We cannot ban plastics as it is very cheap and has no other alternative comparing others. Plastics is substituting Wood and thus saving the environment.  On account of its wide spread use, misuse, and littering waste plastics has got accumulated everywhere including oceans, rivers, reservoirs, forests etc. endangering the lives of flora and fauna including marine life.   Removal of the accumulated waste plastics from oceans and beaches and its effective management is a major long-standing problem facing the World today.

Lack of proper management of waste plastic has resulted in a huge menace to mankind. Muncipalities and Corporations must take urgent measures to put bins for plastics waste everywhere including house holds to avoid littering and segregation of plastic waste.

REUSE, RECYCLE, REFUSE, REPROCESS. PLASTIC WASTE IS AN  IMPORTANT  AND VALUABLE RESOURCE AND IT FINDS USE IN MULTITUDE OF WAYS, INCLUDING CONVERTING IT INTO  PETROLEUM  FROM WHICH IT HAS BEEN MANUFACTURED.
