Dr. Omana Mammen M Tech, Ph D (Research and Development Cell)

Graduated with first rank in Electronics & Communication Engg, M Tech and Ph D in Computer Engineering from Kerala Uni- versity. Retired from VSSC after 38 years of R&D in Avionics area. She is a recipient of Suman Sharma Award for the year 2000 instituted by the Institution of Engineers’ National Design and Research Forum. She is a Ph D guide for Kerala University. She has 30 publications including 5 international papers.

Dr. C.G. Sukumaran Nair Ph D (Computer Science & Engineering)

Retired as Head of Software Quality Assurance Division after 36 years of service in VSSC. He is associated with the activities of several Professional Institutions like Computer Society of India, IEEE, IE (India ). He is author of ive books and over 100 articles. He is Authentication Editor of Executive knowledge Lines (Monthly).

Dr. M. Sathyanarayana M Sc (Tech), Ph D (Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering)

Retired as Head of Division & Project Director of ISRO’s “Space Borne Lidar” in VSSC after 34 years of service. He has been a research guide of the University of Kerala. He has published a number of research papers in reputed journals and presented papers in national and international conferences. He has been listed in the world book “Who is Who in the World” published by Marques (USA), 2008.

Prof. M.K. Narendranathan M Sc (Vice Principal & HOD of Chemistry)

Prof. M.K. Narendranathan has nearly 40 years of teaching experience in various capacities as Lecturer, Professor and Head of the department of Chemistry in various colleges. He was a Member of Board of Studies in Polymer Chemistry of Kerala University. He is working as the HOD of Chemistry and the Vice-Principal.

Prof. Ravi Nambiar M Tech, M S(BITS,Pilani), MBA, Ph D (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

Experience: 34 years in Indian Navy and DRDO. 8 years in Engineering colleges as HOD (Electronics), Principal, etc. Published work: Text book on lasers titled “Lasers – Principles, Types and Applications” published by New Age International Publishers. Reference Book.- “Computer Aided Design, Production and Inspection” published by Narosa Publishing House. Research Scholar in National Institute of Technology, Calicut.

Prof. P. Kesavan Nair M Tech (Mechanical Engineering)

Prof. P. Kesavan Nair has oficiated as Principal, Professor and HOD, Asst. Professor and Lecturer in different Govt. Engineering Colleges and Self inancing Colleges in Kerala and Tamilnadu and also oficiated as Chief Superintendent and Examiner of Univer- sity examinations of various Universities including Anna Univer- sity. He has 40 years of experience in Technical Education and retired from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram.

Prof. V.J. Thomas (Electrical & Electronics Engineering)

V.J.Thomas has nearly 35 years of service in VSSC mainly in the field of Ground Instrumentation, Tracking Systems, Satellite Ground Stations, etc. He retired as DGM, TERLS. He is also our Technical and Administrative Co-ordinator.

Prof. G. Gopalakrishnan MSc(Geo), MA(Eng) (Civil Engineering (HOD in charge))

He has 32 years of teaching experience in various Govt. colleges and retired as Deputy Director of Collegiate Education. He had been the Head of Geology in different Govt. Engg. Colleges. He is also a good motivator and counsellor for students. He is a playwright, a theatre artist and recipient of prestigious awards like Sangeethanadaka Academy Award.

Prof. A.V. Valsalan M Sc (Mathematics)

Prof. A.V.Valsalan has 35 years of experience as Scientist/ Engineer in the Vikram Sarabhai Space center . He joined as the Head of the Department and Professor of Mathematics in 2004.

Prof. K.Babu M Sc, PGDSP, M Phil Physics (Placement Oficer (CGPU))

Prof. K.Babu has 30 years of teaching experience in various Government colleges in Kerala. He had been the Head of the Department of Physics in Government Engineering College, Thiruvananthapuram. He retired as the Principal, Govt. College Manjeswar. He is working as the HOD of Physics and Placement Oficer (Career Guidance & Placement Unit).

Prof. A.K. Sadasivan (Academics & Examinations)

Retired from V S S C after completing 35 years of service in the field of design, development and manufacturing of Aerospace Mechanisms. Served as Managing Director for a period of 5 years in the public sector undertakings Kerala State Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Kerala State Salicelates and Chemicals. He is also attached to the Department of Mechanical Engineering..
